fine dining Experience

I am an energetic Spanish chef who loves nothing better than a basket full of local produce to inspire my latest menu.  My current home in Orange NSW is rich in a wide range of fresh produce that is often hand-delivered from the grower and is on the plate within a day. This love of fresh, seasonal and local food, combined with the lessons learned from my food-obsessed family, gives me an unique skill at combining local flavours with Spanish techniques.

As a migrant in Australia, I'm especially mindful of the experiences of other Spanish chefs living here.  In 2018, I founded 'Eat Spanish', a networking that showcases the new generation of chefs in Australia who are taking the experience in their restaurants to a new level, by incorporating native products, local produce and regional influences.

Through the promotion and support of Spanish chefs, Eat Spanish today as a non-profit association is able to shine a light on Spanish cuisine and bring a renewed appreciation for the role that our flavours, techniques and philosophies can play in the Australian food scene.

unique food and wine tours

nicole farrell.

Nicole Farrell is an Orange local and experienced international tour guide, who has recently decided to use her skills and extensive local connections to showcase all that Orange has to offer. She identified a gap in the market for tours that give people a deeper connection to the food and wine of the region.

The tours are seasonal and experiences include; foraging for mushrooms, picking saffron, cherries, apples or stone fruit, visiting an olive grown or a hazelnut farm or an Indigenous bush tucker food tasting.

Country Food Trails provides a unique, personal introduction to the farms, growers and producers who are the backbone of the area’s much celebrated food and wine scene. The tours are thoughtfully planned, fun and flavour packed experiences for down-to-earth foodies.

Nicole can customise a tour to suit your needs and interests; history, nature, breweries, gin tasting, shopping, artist studios and galleries, wineries, exploring local villages or day trips to nearby towns.

Nicole also offers luxury picnics of local produce or high tea packages in local vineyards. Or if you’d prefer, relax at Cadogan House and Nicole will bring the experience to you. High tea in the maze or picnic in the paddock.

All tours are eco-friendly, with a zero-waste policy. To book a tour with Nicole, please contact her directly, or click here.
