fine dining Experience
Richard Learmonth is a fine dining chef with over 10 years experience leading teams in multi-hatted restaurants in Australia and New Zealand.

Richard spent two years as Head Chef at the world-renowned Sydney restaurant, Porteno and three years as Head Chef at the hatted Restaurant Pendolino. Following this, Richard moved to Orange where he revitalized Sister’s Rock Winery Restaurant, and received rave reviews for his modern Australian (with an Italian twist) menu, championing all local produce and winning Gourmet Traveller’s Cellar Door with the Best Food 3 years running.
Well versed in a diverse range of cuisines and with strong connections to local growers and producers, Richard will collaborate with you to create a bespoke dining experience showcasing the wonderful produce of the region.
Whether you require catering for a group, a small intimate meal or delicious “heat ‘n’ eat” meals, Richard can provide you with beautiful cooking that reflects the best of Orange and the Central West.
Richard’s passion for fresh, local produce shines through in everything he serves and his affable manner will ensure an exceptional dining experience for you and your guests.

fine dining Experience
I am an energetic Spanish chef who loves nothing better than a basket full of local produce to inspire my latest menu. My current home in Orange NSW is rich in a wide range of fresh produce that is often hand-delivered from the grower and is on the plate within a day. This love of fresh, seasonal and local food, combined with the lessons learned from my food-obsessed family, gives me an unique skill at combining local flavours with Spanish techniques.
As a migrant in Australia, I'm especially mindful of the experiences of other Spanish chefs living here. In 2018, I founded 'Eat Spanish', a networking that showcases the new generation of chefs in Australia who are taking the experience in their restaurants to a new level, by incorporating native products, local produce and regional influences.

Through the promotion and support of Spanish chefs, Eat Spanish today as a non-profit association is able to shine a light on Spanish cuisine and bring a renewed appreciation for the role that our flavours, techniques and philosophies can play in the Australian food scene.
